Shirli Treska, the Korça painter who divides her life between her passion for art and historical guides

A very special character comes to the viewers of CNA TV, as an example of inspiration for all young people who are passionate about any kind of art form. Shirli Treska is a Korça girl who has shown her talent in painting since the age of 5 and has been closely associated with this art for 15 years now.

She started her studies at the artistic high school "Tefta Tashko Koço" in the city of Korça, and then her life took another direction in university studies in the History-Geography branch. Shirley's two passions, which are an integral part of her life, standing by people who want to have portraits and landscapes in their homes, but also tourists and visitors who come to the beautiful southeastern city to get to know the history and its great values.

We started the conversation with the artist from Korça by asking her about her beginnings in the path of art and more specifically painting, while Shirli chooses to remember one of Picasso's expressions which says that "Children show the passion to paint, but not all become painters". Apparently, with a lot of persistence, the corcara managed to become a pretty good painter in her town.

"The passion for painting started very early, around the age of 4-5 , when I got the paper and the pencil, but like all other children who show their passion for painting and not all of them become painters, so Picasso said I managed to get there with a lot of persistence and stubbornness, even though my parents did not dictate my talent. When I started winning second and third prizes in the competitions held in the city of Korça they believed in me and enrolled me in the art school 'Tefta Tashko Koço'", she said. 

All painters, when they put a portrait or a landscape on the canvas, are totally involved in another world, away from the daily routine, forgetting everything and focusing only on the pencil and paper in front of them. The same thing happens with Shirley, who says that the painting gives her a lot of emotions, considering it a ritual of 15 years.

"It's true, when I paint I'm in another world and I detach myself from reality or everyday life. It's a kind of ritual or meditation and I feel very good when I paint. I'm very emotional. I've been painting for about 15 years, including the years in school artistic high school because that's where I got the first professional basics, where my skills in painting managed to mature. besides the painting", she said.

Shirli thotë se mund t'i bëjë të gjitha teknikat e pikturës, në të gjitha format e saj, por dashuria më e madhe mbetet për portretet që kërkohen aq shumë edhe nga qytetarët korçarë e më gjerë.

"Unë vazhdoj dhe eksperimentoj. Kam nisur më herët të eksperimentoj dhe vazhdoj akoma me stile të ndryshme. Jam e fokusuar më shumë tek stili realist, aq sa kam dashur të kaloj në hiper-realizëm, por mendova se piktori duhet të jetë i lirshëm kur pikturon dhe të shfaqë atë individualitetin e vet. Kështu që qëndrova tek stili realist dhe herë pas here bëj edhe një miksim teknikash. Njerëzit zakonisht porositin portrete dhe unë jam më e prirur drejt tyre, është specialiteti im sepse kam realizuar shumë në kohë. Janë kryesisht me laps, por gjithashtu edhe me ngjyra, të teknikave të ndryshme, në bojë vaji, akrelik. Porositin edhe peizazhe, natyra të qeta por më tepër vazhdojnë të porositin portrete. Ndihem më mirë tek portretet sepse aty kam më shumë vetëbesim.", u shpreh ajo. 

Por, sa i vështirë është të realizosh një portret dhe sa e rëndësishme është që të përfshish shumë detaje të asaj çka përcjell personazhi? Artistja kërkon të hedhë në telajo mimikën e personit, shprehinë e tij, për të kënaqur klientët të cilët porositin një portret të familjarëve apo miqve. 

"Nuk janë të thjeshta, portreti është shumë i vështirë sepse t'i duhet të kapësh karakterin e personit. Jam më e lirshme kur e kam personin përballë sepse mund të kap një emocion të momentit, mimikën e personit, shprehinë e tij, mënyrën ekspresive që më ndihmon në krijimin e karakterit të tij. Sigurisht ja kam dalë edhe me fotografi, mundohem të kënaq klientët e mi, të arrij pritshmëritë e tyre, por fotografia është e ngrirë e nuk shfaq shumë emocione. Megjithatë unë jam munduar të shfaq dhe karakterin e personit", tha ajo. 

Pasioni tjetër i piktores korçare është krejt i ndryshëm, duke kaluar nga arti në histori. Si një vajzë që ka qenë kurioze për të kaluarën, e dhënë pas fakteve historike të vjetra, Shirli vendosi që të studionte në degën e Histori-Gjeografisë, ndërsa sot punon në pozicionin e guidës pranë Muzeut të Arsimit, ose Mësonjëtores së Parë Shqipe siç njihet në vendin tonë. Ndonëse me një profesion ndryshe, ajo sërish nuk largohet nga piktura, duke qëndruar pranë klientëve për çdo kërkesë që ata bëjnë kur e kontaktojë në instagram dhe rrjete sociale.

Padyshim që nga ana e artistes korçare nuk mund të mungojë edhe apeli për ata të rinj të cilët kanë një pasion. Për të, pasioni të jep frymë, të bën të shfaqësh kreativitetin e shpirtit, duke të inspiruar çdo ditë e më shumë.

"I think everyone has a passion and should follow it. Passion gives you breath, it's a kind of ritual or meditation that makes you reflect and show the creativity of your soul. We without art or life without art, is lifeless. I see art as something that inspires and inspires you. So I appeal to young people to follow their passions," she said.
