The journey of 15 painters from Albania to Maliqi Colony ends after 3 days full of emotions. In this fourth edition, the participating artists have visited some of the most special areas that Maliqi has, which were selected by the organizers not only for their beautiful nature and fantastic landscape, but also for their promotion. Starting from the Pheasant Forest, then towards the village of Podgorie and the villages of the Lozhan area and ending with the town of Maliqi, the painters have put on canvas the beautiful colors of autumn, the season they adore.

Angel Gegprifti is one of the most special painters of Pogradec who participated for the second time in this colony of painters. For the painter from Pogradec, autumn brings a lot of emotions, while he has painted 6 landscapes, 3 of which have appeared in the final exhibition in the outdoor area of ??Maliq Municipality.

"At the beginning I started with the Devolli River, then I was in the village of Podgorie where Dry Mountain was also, a part of this mountain, Maja e Pusi was interesting, the extent of the village, then in these villages near Lozhan. The emotion of the first thing that normally benefits is autumn, the coloristic side, I mixed them up a bit, I used water, fields, hills, each one has its own emotion that is always indescribable, I wanted to I would like to emphasize that this year I was most impressed by the part of the Devoll River Valley, which was fateful", said Gegprifti.

Compared to the previous edition, this fourth edition has aimed to be more dedicated to the professional side since the colors have different tensions from each other. Angel has been painting landscapes in all seasons for 16 years, while he says that this genre is the one that relaxes him the most.

"It is the second time and of course there is a difference because we captured different parts from year to year and the terrain was no more difficult, but you had to dedicate yourself more professionally, the drawings, the colors had different tensions from one situation to another and this it was general but it changes every year. I have been working on the landscape for 16 years systematically, in all seasons, in different places. I also work in different genres of pictures, but the landscape is the part that it relaxes me more," he emphasizes.

For the director of culture in Maliq Municipality, this edition has been very successful. Festim Tomorri shows the organization of this edition, showing the terrain with which the painters in the Maliqi area were introduced.

"The fourth edition went excellently because the painters were also very good. They had the necessary time to work, we have been working in the field for four days, we have been to the Pheasant Forest, the Devoll River Valley, we have been in the Administrative Unit of Podgorie and all the villages that surround it, we have seen the Field of Maliqi from the opposite side and today it was inside the city city ??streets", he declares.

Among other things, according to Tomorri, the hospitality is what surprised and pleased the artists, who were also accompanied by the residents of Maliqi during their work. The good thing about the organization of this colony is that all the painters are friends with each other and come together not only to work but also to enjoy this friendship.

"About 15 painters have participated in this colony, like every year a little and precisely. This year they have found a wonderful autumn. Normally, wherever they have been, there have been painters with their eyes, we see them every day, but they are amazed by this that the municipality of Maliqi offers with its nature and of course the hospitality of the citizens and residents of this area. They feel at home regardless of coming from other cities. A painter from Durrës who lives in Switzerland he came to 2 events invited by friends, we have from Shkodra, Tirana, Pogradeci. Normally, Pogradeci has very good landscape painters. All of them are friends, some of the painters are coming to Maliq for the fourth time because they remain satisfied", he continued.

Seeing the success that this activity has reaped in the fifth edition, there will be an even wider organization that will include a larger number of painters. Through these activities, the focus is given to the development of tourism that includes natural beauties and attractions, but also the cuisine of the area with traditional dishes that are preferred by local and foreign visitors.

"The exhibition will be open today, the paintings are new, still untouched. The municipality will keep some of them, just like in the contracts made with the painters. Their exhibition can also be in the inner premises of the municipality In the fifth edition, we think of having the paintings selected in these five years, making a wider and better exhibition. This colony of painters also serves to promote tourism because all these paintings are part of the natural beauty of the Municipality. of Maliqi. The painters also talk about the beauties by taking paintings to where they live. Among other things, the painters have tried the cuisine of Lozhan, Podgorie, and Maliqi. This serves everyone by exchanging experiences during the stay here, trying food and discussing the paintings and landscape of the Maliqi area", Tomorri emphasized.
