Zhulali: Rama wants to undo the integration process, to act quickly

Integration expert, Ilda Zhulali, commented today on the political situation in the country and the government's steps, linking it to the journey towards the European Union.

 Zhulali told "Syri TV" that Albania must act quickly towards this process, at a time when the region is moving towards this perspective along with other countries, such as Ukraine, while accusing Prime Minister Edi Rama of trying to oppose the process.

"We are at a very important geopolitical moment, due to frequent, sudden movements and the delineation of new international alliances. Albania is well-established in the alliance within NATO and with the European Union, where it has a clear perspective of membership. No one has questioned this perspective so far. What is being discussed today in the European Union is the speed of this movement, where the leading country is Montenegro, and after Montenegro comes Albania as a country with the potential to join. And while the attention is completely on other countries, such as Ukraine, now in the Middle East, Edi Rama seeks to undo a process, and therefore the clear anchoring of Albania in the geopolitical space, and this is to the detriment of Albanians, especially, taking into account the position of Kosovo, its geopolitical, which fortunately, in recent months has taken a positive turn", - said Zhulali./CNA
