May 11th Elections/ Democratic Party leader Sali Berisha votes

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, voted today at his polling station, in the premises of the "Jordan Misja" Artistic Lyceum in Tirana. Berisha was accompanied by his wife, Liri Berisha.

In a brief communication to journalists, Berisha shared a message for citizens.

"A heartfelt appeal to every citizen to vote, for their children, for their pensions and salaries, for their business and farm, for the future of their children in this country," said Berisha.

Asked if he would recognize the elections, Berisha sidestepped the question posed by journalists.

"Since I am asked if I will recognize the elections, I met people who are confident in their vote. We will have a second day of summer. Therefore, my call is to vote," said Berisha. /CNA
