EC Vice-President two-day visit to Tirana/The agenda is clarified

The Executive Vice-President for the European Green Agreement, Frans Timmermans, will pay a two-day visit to Albania on April 3-4.

He will travel to Albania to participate in the International Tourism Forum and to discuss with government representatives and stakeholders the progress made in the country in the green transition, including climate action, environmental protection and renewable energy.

Ditën e parë, Zëvendëspresidenti Ekzekutiv do të ketë një takim dypalësh me kryeministrin e Shqipërisë, Edi Rama. Ai do të takohet gjithashtu me zëvendëskryeministren Belinda Balluku, ministren e Turizmit dhe Mjedisit Mirela Kumbaro, me Sekretarin e Përgjithshëm të Organizatës Botërore të Turizmit të OKB-së, Zurab Pololikashvili dhe do të ketë një tryezë të rrumbullakët me organizatat e shoqërisë civile mjedisore. Në mbrëmje, ai do të mbajë një fjalim kryesor në Forumin Ndërkombëtar të Turizmit “E ardhmja e Turizmit të Qëndrueshëm Mjedisor në Shqipëri (FESTA)”.

Executive Vice President Timmermans will talk on Tuesday with the Chairperson of the EU Integration Commission of the Parliament of Albania, Jorida Tabaku. He will then visit the "Dhosi Liperi" school in the city of Durrës, which is part of the EU-funded program 'EU4Schools' that focuses on accelerating the recovery process after the 2019 earthquake through school repairs and reconstruction. His visit will end with a tour of the EU-funded Bonum Agroturizem farm. /CNA
