Prime Minister Edi Rama has reacted again before the trial of the former President of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi, who is accused of war crimes.

Rama recalls that the current president of the USA, Joe Biden, has described Thaci as the "George Washington" of Kosovo.

The prime minister also raises the question of whether those who lead the people to freedom are considered criminals.

"Should those who lead their people to freedom against brutal regimes be considered criminals? It's a disturbing thought, especially considering that the man in this photo was once hailed as the George Washington of Kosovo by Joe Biden himself!” Rama wrote on Twitter.

We remind you that the court hearing against the former president of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, the former parliamentarians, Jakup Krasniqi and Kadri Veseli, and the former member of the General Staff of the Kosovo Liberation Army, Rexhep Selimi, will take place on April 3 in the Chambers of Specialized in The Hague. /CNA
