The head of the Parliamentary Group of the SP, Niko Peleshi, reacted after the tensions at the meeting of the Investigative Committee on Sterilization, where the deputy of the DP, Xhelal Mziu, pushed the deputy of the SP, Milva Ekonomi.

Peleshi said that the violence against the deputy was unacceptable, while he added that the opposition is trying to bring its own crisis to the Parliament.

"After the violent attempts of the DP to obstruct the work of the plenary session and the Molotov attacks against the institutions, today every limit has been exceeded with the physical assault of the deputy of the majority, Milva Ekonomi, by the expelled deputies of the opposition, Xelal Mziu and Ina Zhupa. The opposition is trying to bring its crisis to the Parliament as well. Violence against MPs, Parliament staff, Guard or Police is absolutely unacceptable and punishable.

We call on the deputies of the Democratic Party to return to the path of reason and dialogue. Violence and attempts to block the work of the Assembly do not serve the citizens or democracy", writes Peleshi./ CNA
