The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olta Xhaçka, has revealed details from the meeting with the Greek Minister, Nikos Dendias.

She answered tooth for tooth to the Greek minister, saying that the Beleri case is not political but a matter of respect for the law.

"I expressed our sincere wish that despite the different views on the Beleri issue, they can continue to cooperate so amicably, I made clear our position that it is not a political issue, but a matter of respecting the law", said Xhaçka.

We recall that during the meeting in Brussels, Minister Dendias stated that he would discuss Beler's case with his colleagues from the Western Balkan countries. 

Earlier, official Athens requested Beler's release, stressing that if the rights of the Greek national minority are not respected, it will affect the relationship between the two countries./ CNA.al
