The head of PBDNJ, Vangjel Dule, has made a strong statement as he spoke about the arrest of Fredi Beler, the winning candidate of the "Together We Win" coalition in Himarë.

Dule said on Erla Mëhilli's show that the police wanted to arrest the opposition candidate on another charge, without having evidence.

According to him, very high levels of the State Police had previously discussed how they could argue the arrest of Beler with the charge of constitutional summons.

"I am telling you a shocking fact. Before the procedures with the infiltrator started, we have a debate at very high levels of the State Police discussing whether they could argue the arrest with the charge of unconstitutional calls. This variant was dropped", he said.

He claims that these police plans had a political background and the aim was to exclude him from the electoral race.
