In the presentation of the draft budget for 2024, with a focus on education and culture, the mayor of the Municipality of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, stopped at the project of the New Theater, the Museum of Modern Art, the Ethnographic Museum, the Fair Center, the new Puppet Theater, etc. .

Veliaj said that he intends to finish the National Theater by 2026.

"The New National Theater has been conceived not only with a large hall, but also with other, smaller halls that can be used for activities, with reception rooms, etc. If time allows, we will lay the foundations of the theater this winter, since it has a massive volume. The plan is to finish the theater by 2026, to have the most beautiful space for art and culture in the country. As with the stadium, which is used throughout the week, we need to have many additional activities", said Veliaj.

He also spoke about the Ethnographic Museum of Tirana and the Puppet Theater.

"Te Sarajet will be the Ethnographic Museum of Tirana. Tirana has culture, clothing, ethnography, and an extraordinary history. We want it to be, in addition to being a museum, also a workshop for children. What I saw is that at the Parade of Albanians, the children enjoyed themselves the most. Now we want that experience of that day to be a permanent experience at the Museum of Tirana. I can't wait to start work and have another station inside the Ring of Tirana to visit. We are preparing for the Museum of Modern Art. As you know, we have a dedicated space at the end of New Boulevard. We want Tirana to come alive in all its corners.
