The SP submits to the Assembly a request to change the law on Investigative

The Socialist Party has submitted a request to the Assembly for the amendment of the law on Investigative Commissions. The Deputy Speaker of the Assembly, Ermonela Felaj, said in a statement to the media that the majority will request changes to the law on Investigative Commissions, as the one in force is from 21 years ago. 

According to her, the current law needs revisions. 

 

"The law is 21 years old, the German law is taken as a model. The work practice of investigative commissions has continuously caused debates. There was debate at the first moment of the formulation of the object and until its conclusion there were busy situations. These investigative commissions have not served the purpose for which they were set up. They should be for a broad issue in the interests of the community. The opposition has submitted a one-sided work product. The law needs revisions," said Felaj.
