Many citizens protested this Thursday in front of the Municipality of Tirana, for the thieving directors of Erion Veliaj who are already facing justice.

The protest was also accompanied by tensions, but Erion Veliaj did not appear in front of the protesters to account for his directors, on the contrary, he hid from those who demanded his resignation.

Already, Veliaj reacted on social networks, where he attacked the citizens who protested. The mayor has released footage from the protest and describes the citizens as scumbags of Saliu and Fahriu.

Instead of talking about the directors' thefts, he clings to former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, claiming that he is burning down institutions to compensate for lost votes.

"Asllan Shyti avoided burning her colleagues and herself! I don't know him, nor does he know me. He went to work with the police colleagues outside, like the municipal colleagues inside!

There's no problem protesting when you're Saliu and Fahriu's son who is burning this country! It's your right!

But there is a big problem when you want to keep burning to compensate for the votes of the protesters who do not support you.

People have been working in the Municipality since the time of Kelmemdi and Brojka. The police have also been and will be in the state. The scenes of '97 have no place in the Tirana of 2024!
