Virtual meeting with the Diaspora/ Berisha: Legalization of Bitcoin and Blockchain, through a state entity

The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a virtual meeting with the Diaspora. Among other things, the leader of the democrat party also spoke about Bitcoin.

Berisha said that Bitcoin and Blockchain will be formalized and legalized, according to the rules and the legalization will be done through a state entity. The leader of the DP stated that at the moment Bitcoin and Blockchain are in the hands of mafia clans.

" Our program foresees Bitcoin, Blockchain and of course formalization and legalization according to more transparent rules. Today this currency in Albania is in the hands of government clans and mafia clans. Mafia clans from their lairs are asking Rama to give them the monopoly of Bitcoin. This will never happen. Bitcoin will be a freely used currency, of course in transparency and the rules set by the financial supervision authorities of cryptocurrencies, an authority that will be established for this purpose ," said Berisha./ CNA
