SPAK confirms the journalist: 4 charges have been filed against Erion Veliaj

Mayor Erion Veliaj was called to SPAK the day before where he was questioned for 5 hours about the investigations of the prosecutor Olsi Dado regarding the wealth of Erion Veliaj and his family members.

After Veliaj appeared for the second time in SPAK, journalist Elvi Fundo revealed details about the investigations being carried out by the Special Prosecutor's Office regarding the mayor.

In a TV appearance on "Çim Peka", last evening, the journalist said that 4 accusations were raised from the property investigation of Erion Veliaj.

Journalist Elvi Fundo stated that the property investigation against Erion Veliaj has been started after there were suspicions to raise charges of corruption, abuse of office, cleaning of the proceeds of crime and concealment of property.

The same was confirmed today by the Special Prosecutor's Office through a public announcement.

According to the SPAK announcement, up to this stage of the preliminary investigation, from the collected evidence, it has been concluded that there are concrete data, which are related to "Passive corruption of high state officials or local elected officials". Active corruption of high state officials or local elected officials", "Cleaning of proceeds of criminal offense or criminal activity" and "Refusal to declare, non-declaration, concealment or false declaration of assets, private interests of elected persons and public servants, or of any other person who has a legal obligation to declare".
