Journalist Ola Xama has scanned the assets of the mayor Erion Veliaj and his family members. Invited to MCN Tv, Xama said that Ajola Xoxa has a bank deposit of 617 thousand euros.

"From what Mr. Veliaj has declared in his asset declarations as mayor of Tirana, it results that he leads a modest life, who has an apartment, a loan of 36 thousand euros left to be paid, a deposit worth 10 thousand euros, which provided 17 thousand euros from allowances and bonuses and 24 thousand euros from salary. So it turns out that he leads a normal, modest life, but if we could give a title to Mr. Veliaj's wealth "The poor mayor surrounded by rich family members", because if we look at the wealth declarations, not what was found by SPAK- u, in the asset declarations, it appears that Mrs. Ajola Xoxa has a bank deposit of 617 thousand euros. She also owns two apartments, one bought for 88 thousand euros, the other bought for 105 thousand euros. It also owns 19.8 percent of the shares in the company "Encyclopedic Publications", which has a significant turnover and shares in the company Partner Laë.

During the year 2023, Ajola Xoxa increased her wealth by 97 thousand euros, that is, she kept 6.7 thousand euros from the profits from the projects at the "Harabel" and Partner Laë centers from the payments she received from these centers and saved them. What we have found regarding the conflict of interest is that Ms. Xoxa is the founder of the "Harabel" center, which owns the "NAN" gallery, and the events that take place in the field of culture are almost all sponsored by or from the Ministry of Culture, or from the Municipality of Tirana, or an agency under the municipality and conflict of interest because it has received 44.5 thousand euros from Balkan Youth Albania and the "Harabel" center.
