The mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, has been in SPAK for two hours.

It is learned that Veliaj is being questioned about the files under investigation by the Special Prosecutor's Office, as well as about the property investigation being carried out against him and his family members.

Also, the socialist mayor is giving an account of suspicious financial flows from the Municipality of Tirana, in the direction of his family members.

There are several files for Veliaj in SPAK. Among them we can mention the Tirana incinerator affair, the "5D" file, the collapse of the National Theater, the construction of towers in the capital, the collapse of "5 May" and the reconstruction of the houses destroyed by the 2019 earthquake.

This is the second time that Veliaj goes to SPAK. On April 30, the mayor of Tirana stayed for about an hour at the Special Prosecutor's Office, where he testified about the incinerator affair.
