Series of protests against Veliaj / Tomorrow, the citizens again in front of the Municipality of Tirana

In recent months, a series of protests have been organized to denounce cases of corruption in the Municipality of Tirana.

The next protest, called by the Alliance for the Protection of the Theater, will take place tomorrow.

Citizens will gather for the 19th time in front of the Municipality of Tirana, to demand the resignation of its head, Erion Veliajt.

As has been warned, the protests will not stop until Veliaj leaves the mayor's office.

These protests have also been accompanied by tensions and "clashes" with the police forces.

They started after the arrest at the end of March of the directors of Veliaj, accused of criminal offenses for "Structured criminal group", "Passive corruption of persons exercising public functions" and "Refusal to declare, not declare, hide or declare fake assets"./ CNA
