Saimir Korreshi was one of the MPs who voted in favor of the salary increase.

In an appearance for the media, Korreshi said in an interview with the media that this increase was necessary, since the salary of the deputies had been increased since 2003.

This is because he claims that the compensation he receives as an MP for the Tirana-Lushnje road does not work for him.

"The MP's salary has not been increased since 2003. Five times a week from Monday to Friday I can't make it from Lushnja. Yes, I have compensation, but I can't do Tirana from Lushnja even 10 times with that compensation", said the deputy.

But he has again expressed his dissatisfaction with the salary, as he declared that with the salary increase he cannot do anything else, except to buy a suit and a shirt.

"I am in favor of an increase in pensions and the establishment of a life allowance of 20,000 ALL. With the salary increase, we will make a hole in the water. A suit, a shirt, that's it," said Korreshi./ CNA.al
