"Respect the law", Balla meeting with the guards, guarantees them

On Tuesday, the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, held a meeting with leaders and officers of the Republic Guard.

During his speech, Minister Balla stated that respect for the Law and the Code of Ethics during the exercise of duty and outside of it should be the distinguishing norm of this elite security structure.

The minister assured the officers that I will do everything to guarantee the best possible financial treatment for all levels of the structure of the Guard of the Republic.

Balla also mentioned the case of the dismissal and arrest of the guard Martin Nikolli, who was involved in the rape of several members of a family in Hamallaj.

"Although today I am here to address a problem of a phenomenon, which should never happen again to any employee of the Guard of the Republic, regarding a recently made public case, where naturally our action was immediate, and this action will be immediate in all cases where a member of this honorable Republican Guard will violate the ethical norms of functioning, being and having the honor of being a member of the Republican Guard.
I want to say to each of you that being a member of the Guard of the Republic is an honor. And in fact, over the years, the Guard of the Republic, as the Commander said, has had and continues to be successful in preserving personalities, but also in organizing many important international meetings, as we had the summit last year, even if we will have the summit again on October 16 of the Berlin Process, an important activity, where the Guard of the Republic bears the greatest responsibility for its success.
But, nevertheless, what is very important to me is that we must continue to increase the support for the Guard of the Republic, either in infrastructure or in technology" , Minister Balla declared.
