Prime Minister Edi Rama stated at the electoral meeting in Berat that unlike the opposition's closed lists, the SP's closed lists include 52% women and girls as candidates for MPs in the May 11 elections.

"We must move forward until we have 50% women and girls in the Socialist Party."

What happens within us is reflected in what we do in governing the country and for local government.

Today we have 50% women and girls in the City Council. Today, for the seventh year in a row, we have women and girls in government, which has put us in the top 5 on the United Nations list. Today, we have more women and girls in the management levels of the administration.

"We have 71 women and girls in the national team of May 11. We have 52% women and girls in the closed list, unlike the swamp of men," said Rama./ CNA
