"A vulgar language that should not be used at all by a prime

In an interview with CNA, the candidate of the Opportunity Party in the Korça region, Genci Shehaj, spoke about the latest developments in the election campaign, describing it as one of the most dignified in the entire region.

He emphasized that his campaign is mainly focused on the city of Korça, while other candidates are active in all districts of the region.

" We are conducting an intensive campaign in meetings with citizens throughout the Korça region, specifically my campaign is focused on Korça and the other candidates' in the districts in the region. I believe it is one of the most dignified campaigns of all parties in the Korça region and I hope it continues like this until the end ," said Shehaj.

Commenting on the Socialist Party's campaign, Shehaj said that it has been continuing with the same style since 2013, using public administration and not offering any concrete promises.

" The Socialist Party's campaign is the same campaign that we have seen since 2013. It is a campaign that exploits the public administration, it is a campaign of pressure, retaliation, and mockery of the opponent. It is a campaign that does not have any kind of concrete promise, there is no point in the program. The only program point that the Socialist Party presents in the media is the European passport, a constant mockery of Edi Rama. While in private with the citizens, there are promises of jobs, favors, and clientelism. It is a normal campaign for them, the same thing they always do but nothing special ," he said.

Regarding the Democratic Party's campaign, Shehaj said he does not follow it, as it is based mainly on the TikTok network.

" I'm sorry, but I don't have Tik Tok and I don't follow the Democratic Party's campaign. It's a Tik Tok-based campaign. Unfortunately, I don't follow it ," said the candidate of the "Mundësia" Party.

Regarding the language used by Prime Minister Rama, who called the men "scoundrels", Shehaj said that it is unacceptable rhetoric, that is not at all befitting a prime minister and that he does not want to be part of this level of public debate.

" This is vulgar language that should not be used at all by a prime minister. This is unacceptable, I think, even for the lowest leader of the Socialist Party, let alone the prime minister. I do not want to be part of this rhetoric and I will not be part of this rhetoric. Let them continue to offend people. The end will be sad for Edi Rama with these speeches he makes and with this rhetoric ," Shehaj declared.

I pyetur nëse do të pranonte të ishte pjesë e listës së PD-së nëse do t’i ofrohej një mundësi, ai tha prerazi se nuk do të pranonte kurrë, duke përmendur si arsye mënyrën e trajtimit të krahut të Sokol Olldashit brenda PD-së dhe manipulimin e zgjedhjeve të brendshme.

"Në gjendjen e sotme të Partisë Demokratike nuk do të pranoja kurrë. Ju e dini që unë përfaqësoj krahun e Sokol Olldashit në PD. Jam larguar pikërisht sepse ata i manipuluan zgjedhjet e Olldashit. Unë nuk mund të pranoj kurrsesi të bëhem pjesë e kësaj loje që po bën edhe PD. Ata nuk janë për ndryshim, ata janë për rrotacion. Asnjëherë nuk do të bëhesha vegël e tyre", u shpreh kandidati i “Mundësisë”.

Shehaj është shprehur optimist për marrjen e një mandati në Korçë, duke e argumentuar me mungesën e ofertës programore nga PS dhe çorientimin e opozitës.

Ai theksoi se Partia Mundësia nuk është thjesht një alternativë për rrotacion, por për ndryshim të thellë politik.

"Besoj që dita ditës po e sigurojmë një mandat, sidomos me mungesën programore të PS, me komedinë që ka nisur edhe pala tjetër opozita, ne çdo ditë na konsolidohet mandati në qarkun e Korçës", deklaroi Shehaj.

Ndër të tjera, Shehaj reagoi ndaj akuzave të nënkuptuara nga Sali Berisha, duke thënë se sulmet e tij dhe të drejtuesve të tjerë të PD-së vijnë nga frika për humbjen e monopolit opozitar.

Sipas tij, Partia Mundësia është e vetmja forcë që gëzon mbështetje të gjerë, si nga elektorati i majtë, ashtu edhe ai i djathtë.

"Ne jemi një parti e djathtë por ka një dallim mes nesh dhe partive të tjera të cilat garojnë. Në përgjithësi partitë e tjera janë fokusuar që të marrin votat e PD. Ne e kemi dëshmuar edhe në sondazhet kombëtare që kemi marrë njëjtë, si nga PD edhe nga PS sepse jemi më të pranueshëm. Jemi njerëz të sipërmarrjes së lirë, jemi qytetarë normalë të këtij vendi dhe jemi më të pranueshëm edhe për të majtët, edhe për socialistin e ndershëm. Konkretisht edhe sondazhi i fundit në Euroneës, ne kemi marrë 7% të elektoratit që ka votuar herën e fundit PD dhe 5% që ka votuar PS. Si shifra votash ne përthithim më shumë elektorat të majtë sesa elektorat të djathtë dhe kjo na ndihmon shumë. Ndërsa partitë e tjera janë thjesht parti të cilat synojnë "kap ça të kapim"”, tha Genci Shehaj.

Genci Shehaj, ka reaguar ndaj deklaratës së ish-kryeministrit Sali Berisha, i cili ka lënë të nënkuptohet se partitë që nuk kërkojnë rrotacion janë në mbështetje të Edi Ramës.

Sipas tij, Partia Mundësia nuk synon thjesht ndërrim emrash mes politikës së vjetër, por ndryshim tërësor të mënyrës së të bërit politikë në Shqipëri.

" Not only Sali Berisha's rhetoric is deteriorating every day, but also other elements of the DP, such as secretary Flamur Noka, are focused on attacking us. This is related to the problem that they want to maintain the monopoly of the opposition because they themselves know that we are the real change and our electoral strength is increasing day by day and they are seeing that we are conducting a civilized, dignified campaign, without insults towards them, and I believe this endangers them in maintaining the primacy of the opposition. Our goal is not to rotate Flamur Noka with Taulant Balla, or Edi Paloka with Ulsi Manja. Our goal is a complete change, to truly change Albanian politics ," said Shehaj.

Commenting on Berisha's statements about Ilir Vrenoz, Shehaj said that it is unacceptable to compare disputed figures with citizens who have built everything with honesty and work.

" This is a scandalous statement. I am a working man, I live by sweat, I have built everything with my own strength and just to take such characters to the opposition podium, what should be the hope of change, is terrible, let alone compare them with people who have built everything from scratch themselves. I am a taxpayer, I am a respected person in the city, I have worked all my life and today I continue to work. I will always work. In comparison, he said 10% of integrity or dignity, this is best judged by the citizens. There is a great contrast between us and those that Berisha is talking about himself" , said the candidate of the "Mundësia" Party.

Genci Shehaj has shown that the Opportunity Party remains determined on its path to bring a new spirit and a different approach to Albanian politics. He emphasizes that citizens are tired of divisive rhetoric and empty promises, while they are looking for real and credible alternatives.

With a campaign that he calls dignified and free of personal attacks, Shehaj expresses his belief that support for the Opportunity Party is growing every day and that real change is coming from citizens, not from political bargaining./ CNA
