RAMA'S LANGUAGE IN THE CAMPAIGN / Halimi: The word autistic is intolerable,

"Swamp", "owl", "squid", "see my nude photos on the internet", and most recently "politically autistic", are some of the words and expressions used by the Prime Minister, also the leader of the Socialist Party Edi Rama, during the electoral campaign.

A language that has not only killed the ears of Albanians, but perhaps even Europeans.

"Whoever doesn't vote for the Socialist Party is politically autistic," is the expression used by Rama in a meeting on Tuesday, using the term in a derogatory context.

Regarding this development, psychologist Arbjola Halimi, in a reaction to CNA, stated:

"The word 'Autistic' is intolerable. We say Children with Autism. While the term is a label and a bully. Also, my political stance is that when you start with expressions that express extremism in the messages they give, insulting the electorate, it means that you have felt the loss in time," said Halimi.

Autism is a spectrum of disorders that affects the way individuals communicate, interact, and perceive the world.

It is not a disease, but a different way of being, which requires understanding, support, and social inclusion - and to stay in society, the latter is condemning bullying every day./ CNA
