Rama/Kelliçi's offensive statements: They show the Prime

The political leader of the Democratic Party for Tirana, Belind Këlliçi, has reacted to the insulting statements made by Prime Minister Edi Rama about children on the autistic spectrum. Këlliçi says that these statements show the ignorance and insensitivity of the Prime Minister.

Further in his reaction, Këlliçi called on the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination, the Order of Psychologists and any other responsible organizer to intervene to prohibit bullying language towards children or people with disabilities.

After "long live the lover" addressed to girls and "go to Google and search for my nude photos" addressed to children, now it's the turn of autism spectrum disorders to enter his insulting mouth and once again show the insensitivity and ignorance of the prime minister.

People affected by autism are not "dumb" or "half-witted".

They are people affected by a psychiatric disorder that causes problems in behavior and personal relationships, but sometimes gives them extraordinary abilities in the exact sciences or artistic expression.

Autism causes major family dramas, to which sensitivity must certainly be maximum.

But autism is a spectrum, and of course, people affected by this spectrum at various levels are best integrated into society, sometimes even into the elites of thought or scientific research.

The Democratic Party calls on the Commissioner for Protection from Discrimination, the Order of Psychologists, and any other institution or organization that has responsibility to intervene in this case to curb the bullying culture and mentality towards people affected by autism, as well as any other disorder.

A civilized society is distinguished from a jungle society precisely in cases like this, in the protection of its most vulnerable members./ CNA
