The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, was present at the food safety conference organized by the opposition coalition. In his speech, Berisha said that no responsibility was taken for the presence of salmonella in chicken meat and it was only discovered when Rama fell ill.

Berisha further said that someone close to the government, who resigned after the prime minister fell ill, was responsible for this. The leading democrat declared that the DP will triple the budget in the field of food security.
