Rama from Belgrade: I express my respect to Vucic, he has given a signal for peace

Prime Minister Edi Rama participated in the second day of the "Open Balkan" summit, which is taking place in Belgrade.

During his speech, Rama said that it is important that all the countries of the region join this initiative, and not only.

"I am pleased that here today with us are also 2 very important friends for us who represent two equally important countries for our region. The Foreign Minister of Turkey, whom I want to thank for his presence. Turkey is a partner strategically irreplaceable of Albania but also an ally of all positive processes in our country. Likewise the Foreign Minister of Hungary, whom I also want to thank. For us it is very important that all the countries of our region and to join such important countries as Turkey, Italy, Greece and Hungary".

Rama said that the Balkans are as important to Europe as Europe is to the Balkans.

He also expressed respect to the Serbian president, whom he said has given a very clear signal to everyone, that the first choice is peace.

"Yesterday showed which is the path and which is the choice of the Open Balkans. Today I want to say with pride that even the solution of movement with identity cards is a solution of the Open Balkans. I want to express my respect to the president of Serbia who has given a very clear signal to everyone, that the first choice is peace", said Rama. /CNA.al
