The Council of Ministers has today approved the agreement on the recognition of pensions with Montenegro.
In a statement to the media, the Minister of Finance, Delina Ibrahimaj, said that 560 Albanians living and working in Montenegro will benefit from the agreement.
Ibrahimaj declared that Albanians will be recognized for the years of old-age pensions, benefits for special diseases, damages caused during work, but also unemployment benefits.
"The agreement with Montenegro regarding social insurance provides for the recognition of years of work for social insurance, a number of individuals, both Albanian and Montenegrin, benefit. According to EUROSTAT, 560 Albanians living and working in Montenegro, who in the future will be recognized for years of old age pensions, benefits for special diseases, damages caused during work, but also unemployment benefits. There are about 35 Montenegrin citizens who live and work in Albania", the minister emphasized./ CNA.al
