The candidate for the municipality of Tirana, Belind Këlliçi, met an elderly couple in Tirana who told how their children left the country and now live alone.

Through his reaction on social networks, Kelliçi has denounced the neglect of the local government towards the elderly, who feel abandoned.

“Sot shkova t’ia uroj 8 marsin zonjës Viola Deliallisi, e cila jeton me të shoqin Mirush Deliallisi në rrugën "Fortuzi".  Fëmijët e saj, në mungesë të mundësive dhe kushteve dinjitoze të jetës, janë detyruar të emigrojnë. Brenga që kanë prej largësisë së fëmijëve të tyre rëndohet edhe më shumë nga kushtet e papërshtatshme të lagjes ku banojnë. Si shumë të moshuar të tjerë, ndihen të braktisur prej qeverisjes lokale, e cila merret me fasadat dhe eventet ndërkombëtare por nuk bën asnjë përpjekje për të dhënë shërbime apo për të zgjidhur problemet e tyre të përditshme.

Unë besoj se duhet të kemi një partneritet ndërmjet brezave dhe të tregojmë mirënjohje për kontributin e brezit të tretë.
