Prosecutors' new evidence against Veliaj/Lala: The mayor's position

Journalist Klodiana Lala said today that the positions of former mayor Erion Veliaj, who is seeking freedom in the GJKKO Appeal, may be aggravated with the presentation of new evidence against him.

Lala added that the fact that SPAK has brought new evidence somewhat weighs on Veliaj's position, who has so far argued based on the evidence they have had available.

Lala said that Veliaj opposes the security measure, arguing that there are no conditions and criteria that would destroy evidence.

This afternoon's decision by the Appeals Court of the Republic of Albania for the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, was postponed to March 12, after new evidence was presented against him. The evidence against the mayor of Tirana was presented at the hearing by the prosecutors in the case, Ols Dado and Altin Dumani.
