The candidate of the Together We Win for Tirana coalition, Belind Këlliçi, has revealed details about the project for the underpass that he plans to make in Skënderbej square to solve the traffic, if he takes the mandate as mayor.

Kelliçi clarified that for this project, not a single tile of the current square will be damaged. According to him, the tunnel will be 400 meters long and will have four lanes.

" This is an investment that requires political will. Traffic in Tirana is stressful for citizens, it also pollutes the air. Perfect solution with minimum cost. After May 14, I will be an administrator of the Municipality, I will not be an all-rounder. Tirana is one of the most polluted cities in Europe. They will not damage any slab of the current square, we will work underground. We will build a 400-meter tunnel, with four lanes. This requires 4 to 4.5 million euros to be resolved," Kelliçi said.

He further stated that if this project is not realized by January 1, 2024, he is ready to resign.

 "By January 1, 2024, this project will be a reality, if it doesn't happen, I will resign. 60% of the traffic in the heart of Tirana will be resolved", said Këlliçi
