Prime Minister Edi Rama was today in Administrative Unit 14, where he is launching the construction of a new school that will function together with a kindergarten and a nursery school. This project will have a capacity of 900 students and 250 preschool children for the Astir community.

Rama inspected the space intended for this educational project. Also present were the acting mayor of Tirana, Anela Ristani, and Minister Ogerta Manastirliu.

In his speech, Rama said that this project is also a continuous request of the residents of the area.

Rama said that due to new arrivals and increased construction, the need for more nurseries, kindergartens and schools has also increased, not only in the Astir area, but also in other areas of the capital.

"Even when we were here a few days ago, this was a request, but I told you that we will start it soon, while assuring you that you will also look at other points, not only here, but everywhere in Tirana, where due to new arrivals and new constructions, there is a need for kindergartens and nurseries and we must move forward with what we have talked about, with a new plan for the establishment of educational facilities for Tirana, which will also be accompanied by expropriations, partnerships, so that we have space for schools," said Rama.

Rama said that educational projects will continue with the construction of two more schools, a 9-year school and a high school, in Yzberisht and Kashar./CNA
