Cracks between lecturers/ "I am not for denigration and threats"

A day ago, a group of lecturers were in a meeting with the leader of the DP, Sali Berisha, called by the latter to listen to their concerns.

But the situation has gone differently, the lecturers have started arguing with each other.

Ilirjana Kuçana debated with Mirdaim Axhami, head of the department at the Faculty of Economics.

Kuçana has called the request for salary increase and taking the students with him selfish.

According to her, there should be a concrete plan.

But, Mirdaim Axhami, has reacted by saying that Kuçana is nothing but an external lecturer not yet approved at the university where he belongs.

Sipas tij Kuçana deri më tani nuk është përfshirë në asnjë mbledhje, as departamenti, as dekanati, as senati dhe i sugjeroj të mos marrë përsipër që të shpjegojë se çfarë ndodh në Fakultetin Ekonomik ku unë jam dhe përgjegjës departamenti dhe anëtar senati.

Ilirjana Kuçana: Për mua është kërkesë egoiste të dalësh të thuash kërkoj rritjen e pagës së pedagogëve dhe të marrësh studentët me vete. Kjo nuk ndodh. Jam një pedagoge shumë afër me studentët dhe duhet të ngremë kauza dhe të ngremë frymën… Duhet të kemi një plan konkret. 

Unë nuk mund ta pranoj se ka dekanë apo rektorë që në botën akademike sot në 2022-shin të pretendosh se mund të kërcënojnë. Këtu kam shefin e departamentit që ka qenë dje në protestë, pra s’ka ndodhur. Ke zv. dekanin Ilir Alimehmeti. Mendoj se pjesa e kërcënimit është pjesë e justifikimit...

Mirdaim Axhami: Meqenëse znj. Kuçana m'u drejtua mua, unë e njoh prej kohësh Ilirjanën. Ilirjana është pedagoge e jashtme te fakulteti ynë. Për këtë vit akademik akoma s’janë miratuar pedagogët e jashtëm. Ilirjana deri më tani nuk është përfshirë në asnjë mbledhje, as departamenti, as dekanati, as senati dhe i sugjeroj të mos marrë përsipër që të shpjegojë se çfarë ndodh në Fakultetin Ekonomik ku unë jam dhe përgjegjës departamenti dhe anëtar senati. Se kush gënjen dhe kush është i sinqertë e tregon…

Ilirjana Kuçana:  I don't want to go to the Faculty of Economics or the University of Tirana in terms of the situation. I am not even denigrating that there are plenty of those who deserve it, although I am not pretending that they accept it. We know that our leaders, how strong or capable they are to encourage the academic staff themselves to go out on protest, we are not claiming such a thing. The situation is not clear with the protests and with the unions, the result has always been in question, it has its own doubts. It is not that we are pretending that this protest will bring us to power. We need to go to a more macro level for this, we are supporting it to the fullest. /CNA.al
