The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, welcomed today's decision of the Constitutional Court that suspended the decree for the November 9 parliamentary elections.

In a statement to the media, Berisha said that the decision is an act of great importance in protecting the country's Constitution.

Berisha also spoke about candidate Florjan Binaj, whom he considered welcome by citizens.

"The independent candidate for Tirana, I believe and hope that all opposition parties will reconfirm Binaj even after this decision, as was received with great approval and pleasure. From citizens of all spectrums and groups in succession.

Today, the Constitutional Court made a decision, which I welcome as an act of great importance in protecting the country's Constitution.

I applaud the unanimous decision of those who, with their enemies, not to mention another word that I might not say, are the villains of the state.
