Use of SKY ECC and Encro Chat/ Self-declaration order for police officers

Interior Minister Taulant Balla has approved the special order regarding the self-declaration of all employees of the State Police, AMP and Guard of the Republic, if they have used the SKY ECC or Encro Chat applications.

The order is accompanied by the relevant form and is part of the measures taken regarding the self-cleaning process of police structures and other dependent agencies.

The Self-Declaration form is being distributed to the above structures for completion and will serve as a basis for the initiation of verifications.

Any employee found to have used these applications will be immediately, definitively, dismissed from the State Police, the Police Surveillance Agency, or the Guard of the Republic.

The Ministry of the Interior is determined to bring to justice those employees of structures that are related to organized crime and criminal groups. /CNA
