MP Ervin Salianji, stated that the Democratic Party is not working for unification, but to create two parties.

In an interview for the show "Debate" on A2 CNN, Salianji said that Lulzim Basha resigned, but did not give up the party.

"What I see in the Democratic Party is that there is unity against the government. On the other hand, there are personal egos, career ambitions and a kind of narrowness on both sides, where everyone seeks to get the most out of it. If it is not united, the DP does not have the opportunity to submit a serious offer. I see that there is an attempt to create two parties.

One party is trying to create the one who was the chairman before (Lulzim Basha). In politics you also sit with the political opponent for negotiations. And here there is no will to sit down, but only statements to distance themselves from each other and create the bed of a new party. In my opinion, this will hurt the investment of some people who for 9 years have been sacrificed in the face of the regime. Even from the Re-establishment there should have been a different approach, to have all the party contributors on one side.

Basha has resigned, but has not given up. He will make every effort to turn into a party, however small and weak, just to feel like chairman. This can be seen in attitudes ", added Salianji./CNA.al
