DP boycotts plenary sessions/ Deputy Speaker Belind Këlliçi reveals

The Deputy Leader of the Democratic Party, Belind Këlliçi, raised today a concern that the largest opposition force is facing in the Assembly.

Invited to "Syri TV", Këlliçi stated that the DP is constantly faced with the removal of the right to speak and the inability to address important issues, which occurs through several ways, such as the rejection of its requests for interpellations or motions for debate.

According to the democrat, DP representatives have boycotted the last plenary sessions because they do not go to the Assembly to legitimize Prime Minister Edi Rama's clientelistic laws.

"We have prioritized discussing four issues in the Assembly. Requests for a motion with debate, an interpellation, and an urgent interpellation with Edi Rama that never comes have been rejected. In conditions that deprive the opposition of its right to speak, deprive it of the opportunity to speak about the issues it wants, we will not go there to legitimize the problems that Edi Rama has for his ordered laws or his own clientele. Because people then say that we give oxygen to Rama's scenario," said Këlliçi ./CNA
