The majority reveals the plan for the Territorial Reform/ Some municipalities

The Co-Chair of the Committee for Administrative-Territorial Reform, Arbjan Mazniku, shared today details of what can be considered the majority's proposal for this reform.

Speaking to A2 CNN, Mazniku emphasized that this time the aim is to create a smaller number of municipalities compared to the current number, while also sharing the reasoning that led to such an idea.

Further, Mazniku stated that minority regions and municipalities will not be affected by the proposed changes.

"Creating a smaller number of municipalities than we have today is a prerequisite for municipalities to have more competences. Some municipalities do not have the human resources, some others do not have residents. Some others do not manage to support themselves financially. At this moment, the regions are not affected. The 4 regions are the most appropriate. Minority municipalities are not affected. We must approve the law at the end of September and the beginning of October", said Mazniku. /CNA
