Veliaj's lawsuit against Berisha/ The next hearing today, what happens if the former prime minister does not appear

The next court session is expected to take place today, after the lawsuit of the mayor Erion Veliaj against the former prime minister Berisha for defamation.

A few days ago, Veliaj said in the media that all the accusations made by Berisha should be explained to SPAK.

Among other things, he emphasized that if Berisha did not appear at the hearing on May 19, then he will be accompanied by the police for a mandatory appearance in court.  

 " Berisha must explain these stories with slander and unfounded accusations in SPAK. He is the biggest coward. Sali Berisha has sown hatred, division and slander.

Today the court decided that on May 19 he will be accompanied by the police for mandatory appearance in court.

He must go to the Court and prove the charges", stated Veliaj./ CNA.al
