The new parliamentary session begins/ Elisa of the incinerators forgets her post

The new parliamentary session started this Monday afternoon.

This seventh session of the tenth legislature of the Assembly was opened by Speaker Elisa Spiropali.

Spiropali, known as Elisa of the incinerators, has forgotten her position as speaker of the parliament and in the opening speech has "turned on" the opposition.

"My country is among equals, but so different. In the next electoral confrontation, each of us will go with our own political balances. Impossible to change our shared past in this hall. Repentance for wrong actions and judgments is only valid for finding strength to correct what we can do differently. Reflection must be shared between us, a reflection that includes both reproaching the past and projections for the future. To defend our views and attitudes to the end, but with parliamentary ethics, respecting the institution of the Parliament of Albania and the citizens who voted for us and follow us.

We have often behaved as cause and effect of each other, where your lack of control has resulted in the harvest of our tolerance. But case after case, both together have caused damage to the quality of the parliament. I firmly believe that a different approach to our confrontation, starting with changing the relationship, agreement and compromise, would have brought a completely different value.

Much better late than never, we will be forced to walk. The optimism of the new session would force me to say yes it will happen, but in reality it will not change. Newly we will become witnesses and martyrs of the old mentality", said Spiropali, among other things./ CNA
