The messages of the ambassador of Romania from Korça

The Ambassador of Romania in Albania, Octavian Sherban, in a statement from Korça, commented on the Reform in Justice. He said to the media that the reform in justice is important and that it should be addressed to Albanian citizens. 

"The reform in Justice must be addressed to the citizen and here I must tell them that the number of prosecutors or judges that the Republic of Albania has at this moment does not matter because this is an internal problem, what I can tell you is that the Justice Reform should be addressed to the citizen and vice versa, the citizen with a lot of faith in justice", he said.

As for the EU integration process, the ambassador appreciates the work done by Albania in many chapters. He emphasizes that the European Parliament elections do not affect the integration process of the candidate countries.

"The European Parliament elections are a natural process and this should not be confused with the progress of the candidate countries, these are mechanisms that work in parallel. It depends a lot on the preparation of the candidate country, how quickly it will pass these stages that precede it in the process of integration. Here I am bringing it once again to your attention that the process of European integration is based on the personal merits of each candidate country and if there will be any delay regarding the opening of these chapters, it will not be the European Parliament elections that will happen, but if there are delays, these would only refer to the shortcomings of the candidate country. This is a very well-known thing and I must admit this to you that the Albanian authorities are very prepared in many directions and chapters. It is not a competition, it is a process, which will have its normal course", he said./ CNA
