Prime Minister Edi Rama was present at the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with the company Eni SpA for the feasibility study of creating national capacities for the supply and storage of oil and gas products.

In his speech, Rama said that there will be a strategic cooperation with Eni, within the framework of which the company will undertake the creation of a strategic crisis reserve.

Rama said that this company will also be active in the international oil trade and praised the company's willingness to create this start-up.

 

"With the new law, a complete framework is created. Given the special strategic relationship with Italy and this gateway to cooperation with Eni, a global giant in the hydrocarbons market, we approached Eni. A strategic collaboration with Eni in the creation of this new operator which will take over the creation of the strategic crisis reserve.

"We have started a dialogue process that has brought us today to the signing of this first step. A company that will also be active in the international oil market. Today we are very encouraged by the willingness shown by a global giant such as Eni to create this start-up," said Rama.
