Mediu: Sali Berisha is the main authority of the opposition

The chairman of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, has stated that the main authority of the opposition is Sali Berisha.

In an interview with journalist Çim Peka, Mediu said, among other things, that the opposition must have a clear political identity and have positive reference centers.

He emphasized that there should be a more open approach towards the diaspora, in order for the latter to give its contribution

" The main authority of the opposition is Sali Berisha. I have a history of relations, official and political relationship for years. What I want is for Berisha to return to the pivot of the union of the Albanian opposition, as he has done before.

This is most important not to exclude anyone. The time has come for the likes of Berisha, Mediu, Duka, etc., to offer a new political behavior to bring new flows, even from the diaspora, to make a qualitative leap from that famous KOP we had, to emerge in quality more organized part of the diaspora to be part of the opposition.

I am convinced that the opposition should come in a federation type format. To have a clear political identity, to have positive reference centers ", stated Fatmir Mediu./ CNA.al
