McGonigal sinks Rama and Basha?/ "Mother Jones" reporter: SPAK can get

Former top FBI agent Charles McGonigal has pleaded guilty to charges in two separate cases

The former senior FBI official, Charles McGonigal, pleaded guilty a few months ago in relation to the accusations about Albania, which implicates Prime Minister Edi Rama, or even Lulzim Basha.

The former head of counterintelligence at the FBI has admitted that he received the money to lobby against the opposition or to open investigations into the source of crime money for payments made in the USA by Lulzim Basha, in a total of about 1,025,000 dollars.

Speaking on the issue on Robert Pope's CNA show, Mother Jones reporter Dan Friedman issued a warning. He said that new things may emerge from McGonigal's file on Albania.

"McGonigal has pleaded guilty in two different cases, New York and Washington. Both related to his actions in Albania. In connection with the violation of the sanctions related to Derypaska, he will be sentenced to prison for a certain period. The Department of Justice will create a report on how many years he will spend in prison. This report may include new information. So they raise the issue that he did something worse than we know. Now they have the right and the opportunity to bring out other things. I didn't know this report was coming out in November and it's interesting to have additional documents to look at. New things can emerge", he said.

Dan Fridman said the Special Prosecutor's Office could create the DASH investigation file and open investigations in Albania about McGonigal's ties to Albania.

"I believe that the Albanian prosecutor's office investigating corruption can ask the Department of Justice (DOJ) to receive the investigation file. It is usually a routine exchange of information between prosecutors' offices and law enforcement organizations in different countries. They can exchange information. Of course, McGonigal has shaken off a lot of dollars from various people in Albania. So it's a crime there and a crime here.

I don't want to speculate. I believe they can go straight to the DOJ. We want you to share with us information that you discovered while working with us. They can't tell how they got the information between intelligence disclosures, but directly from the DOJ, yes. As for what the courts have, most of it has been made public and they can look at those facts, of course," said the journalist of "Mother Jones"./ CNA
