After the conclusion of the Convention of the Movement for Integration Party, which from today will be called the Freedom Party, Ilir Meta said that the LSI has fulfilled its mission and that from today the work starts without interruption.

According to Meta, the next convention should be completed in two months.

"From today the work starts, every day without interruption, because in two months the next convention should be concluded, which I am sure will be an extraordinary message of the explosion of the most vital energies of young people, of intellectuals in defense of their dignity , of their families and our homeland", said Meta.

Për sa i përket një takimi të mundshëm më kreun e Partisë Demokratike, Meta preferoi të mos i përgjigjej gazetarëve.

Lëvizja Socialiste për Integrim zhvilloi këtë të hënë Konventën e fundit Kombëtare të saj, pasi prej ditës së sotme kjo forcë politike do të quhet Partia e Lirisë.

Që në nisje të Konventës delegatët e pranishëm miratuan ndryshimet statutore që ishin ndryshimi i emrit dhe vulës së partisë si dhe emërimi i një grupi drejtues të kryesisë deri në momentin e zgjedhjeve të reja në parti.

Ishte ish-themeluesi i LSI, Ilir Meta, i cili bëri publik emrin e ri të forcës politike që do të quhet Partia e Lirisë.

Partia e re, do të drejtohet nga Ilir Meta deri në zgjedhjet qe do të zhvillohen pas dy muajsh. Ndërkohë që zëvendës i tij është zgjedhur ish-diplomati Agim Nesho.
