Democratic MP, Luan Baçi, reacted today regarding the possible changes from the Administrative-Territorial Reform in the municipality of Roskovec.

In a post on his social networks, Baçi emphasizes that the impacts of the proposals made for this area by the socialist majority are great.

According to Baçi, the reform being prepared is moving along the same line, that of taking competencies from small municipalities, which, as he argues, takes services away from citizens.

The MP does not hesitate to mention the area's numerous commercial and agricultural resources, while adding that this municipality should not become part of dirty political deals.

"Do a survey, ask your Democrat and Socialist residents, and then make your decisions."

The illegitimate majority that emerged from the May 11, 2025 elections is preparing, as expected, to pass the new territorial reform through parliament with its votes and without the opposition's consensus!

Even though they themselves admit that the 2015 reform, approved only by the Socialist Party, resulted in a major failure:

By taking services away from citizens.

By taking away the competencies of the municipalities and passing them on to the government. By leaving without investments, the former communes that merged with the central municipalities elected by them!

The complaints and concerns of citizens without distinction, voters of the DP and the SP, are numerous. Everyone is looking for attention and services, as close as possible to them. Roskovec will join Patos, according to the SP project.

The Municipality of Rroskovec consists of Rroskovec as the municipal center and the former communes of Strum, Kuman and Kurjan.

The Strum municipality is 9 km away from the Rroskovec municipality.

It will be 15 km away from the Patos municipality, after the merger that the socialists will make.

The Kuman municipality is 7 km away from the Rroskovec municipality,

It will be 13 km away from the Patos municipality after the merger that the socialists will make.

The Kurjan municipal district is 6 km away from the Rroskovec municipality, it will be 11 km away from the Patos municipality, which the socialists will build.

In 2015, the former municipality of Ruzhdie, which has more close ties and acquaintances with Rroskovec, was separated and merged with Patos, as they knew that it was a municipality that mainly voted for the DP, as were the former municipalities of Strum, Kuman, Kurjan, and consequently the municipality of Rroskovec was at risk of being won.

Roskovec has a very different history from any other municipality in the region.

This area, with honest, dignified and hardworking people, is distinguished by its abundant agricultural, livestock and agro-processing production!

There are many olive, fruit and vegetable products!

Part of the territory is also related to industry.

Roskovec has traditionally been a commercial and agricultural center. Roskovec has a much larger area than Patos and has more resources, to be a municipality and should in no way be merged with Patos. Roskovec has an early history as a commercial and agricultural center.

In 1923, it was organized as the Municipality of "Tregu i Frashërit", part of the Berat District. In 1958, it received the status of a city. In Rroskovec we have cultural monuments such as the Church of Saint Kolli in Kurjan (13th century). The Church of Saint George in Strum (17th century).
