Today, the Primary race is taking place in DP where the membership and sympathizers are voting to select the candidates who will go to the local elections against the SP.

The strongest battle remains the one in the capital where there are 7 candidates aiming for the Municipality of Tirana, starting from Belind Këlliçi, Adriana Kalaja, Julian Deda, Ilir Alimehmeti, Fatmir Merkoçi, Enkelejda Fejzo and Gert Bogdani.

All the candidates have cast their choice in the ballot box, giving the message that this is a process of free voting and an opportunity to change Tirana.

Belind Këlliçi together with his wife Anna voted in these primaries, also Ilir Alimehemti and the other candidates voted and gave their messages.

The head of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha accompanied by his wife Liri Berisha also voted in these primaries which have been called an innovation in the Democratic Party.

Other political exponents were seen near the voting centers, such as Rudina Hajdari or Tomor Alizoti, or Bislim Ahmetaj.

What does not go unnoticed is the massive participation in these primaries. The former Speaker of the Parliament, Jozefina Topalli, expressed that she was surprised by the participation, which according to her, she had not seen in any country other than the USA.
