The head of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, showed tonight the way how the opposition would win the Municipality of Tirana in the local elections of 2023.

The media told Euronews Albania that the secret is choosing the candidate that Tirana wants.

"I think that the only way for the opposition to win Tirana is to elect the citizen that Tirana wants. That's why I said that the primaries in Tirana, organized with a rational debate, would be the best thing to do", he said.

The head of the PR stressed that the right candidate can be chosen by conducting a rational debate, where as many citizens of Tirana should be included.

"I don't have any prejudices, I appreciate them. What I would like, despite being selective because I know some of them very well, but what I would say is important is that we develop a rational debate, including as many citizens of Tirana as possible. The important thing is how many citizens of Tirana will come out to vote", stated Mediu./ BA - CNA.al
