The chairman of the Republican Party, Fatmir Mediu, reacted a few hours before the start of the national protest called by the opposition.

Through a press statement, Mediu listed several reasons why citizens should become part of the protest.

He said that citizens should protest for themselves, for their family and for Albania.

"Today they feel hopeless and abandoned. There is neither a state nor a Constitution, but only a group of people who govern without law and work every moment, only for their own interests and not for Albanians. It is not governed by law and norms, but with orders and for occult interests. Free speech is stifled by the fear of losing the job, by the pressure of the media, in its report, Albania is a problem for cleaning money and drug trafficking, with connections from drug cartels in Latin America and influence in Europe and Britain.
