Ermal Dredha will be the official candidate of the Socialist Party for the Municipality of Vlora.

The former diplomat led the race in the voting that took place today in the Assembly of the Socialist Party, in front of the candidate Fate Velaj.

Dredha is a name quite well known to Albanians.

He has served as Consul General of Albania in Bari, Italy.

He then held the position of Head of State Protocol in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, until 2016 when he was appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Albania in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Dredha has expressed his desire to lead Vlora, just like his father, Neki Dredha.
