On the day that the EU Summit will be held in Tirana, the opposition has warned that it will hold a protest.

The police have rejected the DP's request to hold the protest, due to the security perimeter, the Municipality of Tirana, its head has offered a solution.

Mayor Erion Veliaj, dated 25.11.2022, sent an official letter to Ervin Minarolli in the PD, where he suggests that they protest in "Skënderbej" square.

“Bashkia Tiranë, si njësi e vetëqeverisjes vendore, në territorin e së cilës do organizohet samiti i Bashkimit Evropian për Ballkanin Perëndimor është e angazhuar me organizimin e këtij Samiti, sipas fushës së funksioneve që ajo mbulon.

Për sa më sipër, Bashkia Tiranë e ka të pamundur t'iu pajisë me një leje për zënien e hapësirës publike për zhvillimin e tubimit që ju kërkoni të zhvilloni në Bulevardin "Dëshmorët e Kombit".

Duke qenë se për shkak të zhvillimit të samitit të Bashkimit Evropian në qytetin e Tiranës, pjesa më e madhe e rrugëve në qytet do jenë në funksion të mbarëvajtjes së këtij samiti, duke mos cënuar të drejtën tuaj për tubime, ju propozojmë zhvillimin e tij pranë Sheshit Skënderbej.
