The Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, in a television appearance, stopped at the virtual minister Diella.

Ibrahimaj said that Diella is not an unknown character, as she was the virtual assistant at e-Albania.

The minister said that an AI minister would improve governance processes. However, Ibrahimaj acknowledged that a virtual minister also has a margin of error, which is why the prime minister is responsible for it.

" We are living in an era where Artificial Intelligence has just begun to adapt to production and work processes and shows an increase in extremely high efficiency. The use of Artificial Intelligence shows a reduction in production time, whether of very high information services. Therefore, the Prime Minister has decided that part of the government cabinet will be a minister for Artificial Intelligence in all our processes. Diella is not an unknown character to the Albanian public. Diella has been the virtual assistant of E-Albania services and I believe that with the entry of Diella, individuals will find it easier to receive services. I believe that having a Minister with Artificial Intelligence for Artificial Intelligence will improve governance processes. AI is fairer, more transparent... and of course there is also a margin of error and for this reason it is the Prime Minister who is responsible for it. And not everything in the first stages will be left to Artificial Intelligence, these are things that are being tested.

It is an innovation that we are embracing much earlier than others, we have shown it before… We will introduce it into the Procurement process that has the necessity of automation and the removal of human decision-making in processes and we will soon introduce Artificial Intelligence into the analysis of the General Directorate of Taxes, Risk and in many other sectors. And why not have an opinion on all legal acts for all procedures that the government does and from the Sun that personifies Artificial Intelligence , "said the minister./CNA
